Alternative splicing:
Alternative splicing is a variation in the process of splicing, in which the exons of the pre-messenger RNA are arranged in alternative ways. Pre-messenger RNA molecules that have been transcribed from the same gene are spliced and reconnected in different ways to create messenger RNAs (mRNAs).
